Moscow, Russia – March 10, 2009 – Movavi, a leading developer of multimedia processing tools, today announced financial results for fiscal 2008. Total sales volume increased by 27% compared with 2007; the tough economic situation which developed in the fourth quarter of 2008 had no significant effect on sales volume, which remained the same as for the fourth quarter of 2007. Preliminary results for the first quarter of fiscal 2009 indicate that sales levels will again be comparable with the same period in 2008.

Movavi Video Suite, the company’s comprehensive video and audio processing toolkit, and Movavi Video Converter are the two most popular Movavi products, constituting 29% and 58% of the total sales volume respectively. The recent introduction of products for editing and managing media content for mobile devices is also beginning to represent a larger proportion of the company’s revenues.

Sales leadership continues to be represented by the USA - traditionally the largest software market in the world – at 35%. Russia occupies the second place with 12.5% of total sales, an indication of the growing strength of licensed software sales in this market. Underscoring this new direction, Movavi signed a distribution agreement with 1C Company in April 2008 to distribute the company’s product range through the largest computer hardware and household electronics chain in Russia. Movavi also partners with all the leading online stores in Russia.

In December 2008, Movavi opened a new office in Moscow. The priorities of the new office include strategic planning and company management, marketing and PR tracking, as well as the sales channel management. Ludmila Bulavkina, who previously worked at ABBYY, has been appointed to the position of commercial director of Movavi. Natalie Khudyakova, the former commercial director, is now the president and director of strategic development for Movavi.

"We are confident that our current growth pattern will continue, despite the world’s economic problems," said Ludmila Bulavkina, Movavi’s commercial director. "Users’ desire for self-expression and communication come together to make multimedia software among the most popular applications on the market today. In this period of uncertainty, a rational approach to business, together with a growing appreciation for specialized knowledge and expertise, form a winning combination. Movavi has the strength and potential required to succeed and, I am sure, will successfully weather the current storms, as our results are already showing is the case."

Movavi’s plans for 2009 remain ambitious, and the company is well-positioned to move forward thanks to a professional staff, a well-developed global business infrastructure, and close to five million loyal customers. Increasing techno-literacy and interest in multimedia, online video services, and portable devices like the iPhone enables the company to be confident in its predictions for growth in operational areas and additional programs that meet users’ demands and are easy to use..

Movavi was established in Novosibirsk in 2004 and now has offices in both Moscow and Novosibirsk. Since 2004, the company has established a successful business selling software developed internally and focused on the continually growing market for easy-to-use, professional-quality multimedia tools. During its first five years, Movavi has become a global player, successfully competing for business amongst home computer users, businesses, and educational institutions against established developers of video and audio processing software and mobile devices. This success is due to the company’s skilful development of effective channels and controlled expansion.
