Movavi Video Software

MOSCOW, Russia, August 5, 2010.Movavi, a leading developer of multimedia-processing software and services, today launched Aviberry.com — a brand-new cloud-based video and audio conversion service using the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model.

At the heart of the new service, designed for business use, is Movavi’s proprietary multimedia conversion technology, which the company has adapted for the cloud, enabling service capacity to be scaled up in very little time. The same technology has been successfully used for the past three years in Movavi Online — a similar video and audio conversion service for individual users.

Aviberry.com has been designed with large-scale multimedia content providers in mind: video-sharing sites, web projects that incorporate significant amounts of user-generated video content (e.g. social networks), as well as small and medium-sized web-based businesses that occasionally need to convert video (e.g. news portals).

Aviberry.com supports the most popular audio and video formats (including HD-video), and also allows users to convert media for popular portable devices — Apple iPod, Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, Apple TV, Google Nexus One, Android-phones, Sony PSP, Microsoft Zune, and others.

Subscribers can set the output video parameters (size, dimensions, bitrate, framerate, and others) manually or choose from ready-made presets so that the converted videos will match their specific needs. Aviberry.com offers several options for delivery of the encoded videos: files can be uploaded to FTP/SFTP or Amazon S3 servers. Aviberry.com supports JSON API, so customers can integrate it with their online service and automate the conversion process for their multimedia files and access conversion status reports in real time.

Three levels of service are available, which differ according to the amount of encoding covered and the priority level. Interested companies can evaluate the service without commitment using the free 30-day demo account.

“Aviberry.com is based on Movavi’s extensive expertise in multimedia conversion technologies and leverages the growing popularity of cloud-based, SaaS business models,” said Natalia Khudyakova, CEO at Movavi. “With our new service, companies can avoid the expenses of maintaining dedicated video conversion servers as well as save time and effort to concentrate on core business issues.”
