How to Do Screen Capture on iPad

Step 1: Launch the Grabber

Install and open the software, then click the Record Screencast button in the open window.

Connect your tablet to your Mac with a Lightning-to-USB cable. If everything is working correctly, you will see a special indicator with a green check mark in the main window.

Step 3: Choose the Screen Orientation

In the list below the Capture Area label, find your device and select the landscape or portrait orientation, depending on whether you want to take a video with black borders around it. Note that certain iPad apps may not support the landscape orientation.

Click the orange REC button. A five-second countdown will be initiated, after which the video will start recording.

To pause the process, click the Pause button or press ⌥ ⌘ 1 on your Mac. End the capture by clicking the Stop button or pressing ⌥ ⌘ 2.

To trim the beginning and/or end of the video you’ve just grabbed, drag the triangle markers on the timeline to the desired points. To make further changes, click the Edit button. This will open the built-in editor, where you can delete unwanted segments, add different transitions, enhance the footage quality, and much more.
