How to Convert MPG to MP4, MOV, AVI, and Other Formats
MPG is a very popular standard for video compression. It provides high compression levels without significant loss of video quality. MP4 is one of the newest video formats commonly used for storing video on computers and mobile devices. Step 2. Add videos for conversion
Click the Add Media button, then Add Video and select the videos in the MPG format that you want to convert to MP4. If you want to use the app as an MP4-to-MPG converter or as software for turning MPG into MOV or AVI, choose the clips in the respective format.
Step 3. Specify the output video format
Open the Video tab. Select the MP4 preset group, then the MP4 preset. To convert MP4 to MPG, pick the desired preset within the MPG preset group. Choose the same option if you want to convert MOV to MPG. For turning the video into MOV or AVI, select the appropriate preset within the respective group – and so on.
If you are converting video for a specific mobile device, you can select that particular device by clicking Devices. You can also let the program suggest the right preset for your device – simply connect the device to your system and hit the Device Detection button on the right.
Step 4. Start converting your videos
Specify the folder where you would like to store the converted video files by clicking the Save to button. Now all you need to do is click Convert and wait for the process to finish.
Step 5. Upload converted videos to your mobile device (optional)
After the conversion is complete, your videos are ready for storing on a computer or uploading to a mobile device. To transfer video to your mobile device, turn the device on and attach it to your computer. Start the uploader software on your device and follow the on-screen instructions.
