Download Movavi Video Suite on your PC or Mac and double-click on the file. After installation is complete, launch the software. There are two main options you’ll need: Video Converter to get your files converted into a more appropriate format and Video Editor to change whatever you need to in the video itself.
Choose Video Converter at the very beginning – a new window will appear. Click Add Media > Add DVD > Open DVD and navigate to the folder containing your VOB files or select the DVD drive. Once files are loaded, go to the Video tab at the bottom and choose an output format – MP4 H.264 Original Size is the recommended preset for editing compatibility. Click Save to to set your output folder, then click Convert. Wait for the conversion to finish, then close the converter and return to the main screen.

Drag the clips onto the Timeline in the order you want them to play. To cut or trim, move the position marker to where you want to cut, click Split, select the segment to remove, and hit Delete. To merge multiple clips, just place them end-to-end on the Timeline – they’ll be combined into one file on export. Add transitions from the Transitions tab between clips for smoother scene changes.
Open the Effects tab and drag any filter onto a clip on the Timeline to apply color effects, vintage looks, or stylistic enhancements. Click the Text tab to add text overlays – choose a preset, drag it to the Timeline, and type your text. To add background music, go to Import > Add Files, select an audio file, and drag it to the audio track on the Timeline. Trim the music track to match the video length and set Fade in / Fade out by double-clicking the track.
When the edit looks right in the preview, click Export. Choose your output format from the left panel (MP4 is recommended), set the file name and destination on the right, and click Start. For finer control over resolution, codec, and frame rate, click Advanced before starting. To upload directly to YouTube or Vimeo, choose Upload online.
