How to compress a video

Step 2. Import files
Click the Add Media button in the upper-left corner of the window and select Add video. Import the videos you want to compress and add them by clicking Open.
Step 3. Select the output format
Go to the Video tab and select the format that you want to convert your files to. Then, select one of the ready-made presets the converter offers.
Step 4. Compress files
Click the Compress file button – a new window will appear. Here, you can adjust the File size slider or enter the target value manually. Select the appropriate Bitrate type (Constant or Variable); if the bitrate type is constant, you can also enter the desired value in Mb/s. Click Convert sample to check if the result works for you. If you are happy with the settings, click Apply.
Step 5. Convert files
Click Convert when you are ready. Once the conversion is complete, the folder with the output files will open automatically.
