Step 2. Add a video file
Ensure you have saved the large video you want to condense. Click the Add Media button and then Add video in the upper-left corner of the program interface. Choose the video you want to decrease and click Open.
Step 3. Choose the file format or device preset
You can select the desired video format or target mobile device from the inbuilt presets. There is also a Cell phone icon that will be able to detect your phone and optimize the video for movie display on this device.
Step 4. Set up your compression
In the source file list, click Compress file. This will then open up a new dialog box. You will see the File size slider where you can select the output file size and bitrate. You can click Convert sample if you want to see what a short section of the compressed video will look like.
The program also has the trimmer feature. So if you want to make your video shorter before shrinking it, hit the Edit button and go to the Trim tab.
Step 5. Compress the video
Time to select the output folder for the video you want to make smaller! The Save to button at the bottom of the interface will give you the chance to choose a location. By default, if you don’t set a location, the output video will be saved in the Movavi Library folder. Press the Convert button to start the compression process.

How long can a Twitter video be?
The video must be at least 0.5 seconds long and can be up to 140 seconds or two minutes, 20 seconds. If you have a video that is any longer than this, you can upload it to other platforms, like YouTube, and then share on Twitter, but not upload to Twitter directly.
