How to add voice effects to a video
Adding audio effects to a video can make it more fun, engaging, and creative. Movavi Video Editor has a wide variety of voice effects that are easy to use, so you can edit and add filters to the voices in your videos. Test out different audio presets to see how your voice will sound with the radio, echo, robot, and other effects. Follow the steps below to learn how to change your voice in a video.
Step 1. Download and install Movavi Video Editor
Download the installation file, open it, and follow the instructions to finish the installation. Launch the program.
Step 2. Add your video to the program
After the program starts, click the Add Files button and select the file you want to edit. The video will be added to the Project files. Drag and drop it to the Timeline to start editing it.
Step 3. Change voices in the video
To make alterations, double-click the video on the Timeline.
To speed up or slow down the audio, adjust the Speed slider. Move the slider to the right to make the sound faster, or to the left to make it slower. Note that when you change the audio speed, the video playback speed also changes.
If you want to fade the audio in or out, move the appropriate sliders to set the timing for the fade effects.
To distort your voice, open the More tools section, and then open the Audio tab. Click Audio effects and select the desired effect from the list. You can add echo, make your voice higher or lower, or even create a muffled or robotic voice effect.
Step 4. Save the result
Click the Export button to open the window with export options. In that window, you can set the format for your video by either choosing the desired format directly or using a preset for a certain device. Enter the name of the resulting file and select the destination folder. After you’ve adjusted all the settings, click the Start button to save the video to your computer. After saving, you can also share the file to YouTube or Google Drive.
