Install the Cutting Software
Launch the installation file and follow the instructions. When the installation is complete, the MP3 cutter will start automatically.
Add Audio Files
In the launch window, choose the New Project option. Click the Add Media Files button and choose the audio files you want to edit – they will automatically appear on the Audio Track.
Trim the Audio and Delete Unwanted Parts
To cut down an MP3 file, place the red marker on the Timeline at the first desired cutting point and click the Split button. You can snip your audio as many times as you want. To remove all the unwanted parts, simply select them and click Delete.
Save the Edited File
Click Export and choose the Save Audio File tab. Select the desired format, file name, and folder you want to export your track to, and click Start.

How to Cut MP3 Files on an iPhone
If you want to cut an audio file using your iPhone, try Hokusai Audio Editor. Download the app from the App Store and wait for the installation process to finish. Then tap Open to launch the app and follow this guide.
1. Add an Audio File
Tap the Plus icon at the upper-right corner of the screen. Then choose the Import option. The app lets you add music from your Music Library or other services like Google Drive or Dropbox. Select a track and it will be added to the app.
2. Edit the Audio
On the screen, double-tap the audio waveform to select the entire track. Then tap the left anchor and drag it to the place where you want the audio to start. Then tap and drag the right anchor to the place you what the song to finish. Tap the selected segment and choose Trim.
If your goal is to cut out a section partway through the track, select the unwanted segment, tap it, and choose Cut.
3. Save the Audio File on Your iPhone
When you’re satisfied with the result, tap the Settings icon at the upper-right corner of the screen and choose Share Audio. Then Save to Files, choose a destination folder and touch Save.

How to Use an MP3 Trimmer on an Android Device
To trim audio on an Android device, try MP3 Cutter. Go to the Play Store and install the app. When the installation process has finished, tap Open.
1. Add an Audio File
On the first screen, locate the audio file you want to cut and tap it to select. The waveform of the audio will appear on the screen.
2. Cut and Save the Audio
There are two anchors on the screen: the upper one indicates the beginning of the track and the lower the end of the track. Drag the upper anchor to the point where you want the audio to start. Then move the lower anchor to the point where you want it to finish.
When everything is ready, tap the Checkmark icon at the lower-right corner of the screen, then touch Save File. The trimmed track will be saved on your SD card.
MP3 Cutter lets you trim audio files only. If you want to cut out parts from an audio track and do some more complex editing, you might need a more advanced app. But MP3 Cutter has advantages, too – it’s free and easy to use.

2. Cut and Save the Audio
Click the Choose file button, locate the audio file you want to cut and click Open. Drag the left anchor to the place you want the track to start. Then drag the right anchor to the point you want it to end. The default format is MP3, but you can also select M4R from the Output Format dropdown list.
When everything is ready, click the Crop button in the lower-right corner. When the processing is complete, click Download in the lower-left corner. That’s all there is to it!
