Intel® HD Graphics Advantage – Hardware Acceleration
Movavi brings you all the benefits of the latest Intel® innovations – our software is optimized for Intel® HD Graphics technology. By transferring a large part of the encoding to the Intel® HD Graphics chip, Movavi Video Converter lowers the load on your CPU up to 2x and ensures a significant performance boost – up to 400% – for H.264 and MPEG-2 codecs. This in turn delivers up to 2x quicker conversions for Apple iPod, iPad, iPhone, and other portable devices, up to 4x faster transcoding of HD videos, fast DVD ripping, and freeze-free work on your PC during conversion.
By leveraging Intel® HD Graphics technology, Movavi Video Converter provides seamless encoding of HD video on computers with Intel® SandyBridge, IvyBridge, and Haswell processors. High-quality HD video performance is enabled by the advanced video engine, which works with the Intel® HD Graphics technology to deliver the performance boost illustrated in the performance chart below.

How to use Intel® HD Graphics Acceleration
First, add the files you want to convert to Movavi Video Converter. Then check the preset list – if a preset supports Intel® Acceleration, it will be marked with a blue Intel HD Graphics label. If you want your files to be converted faster, just choose one of these presets, and then click Convert.
Intel® HD Graphics Acceleration is enabled by default. You can disable it in the Settings menu under Preferences as shown in the picture left if you wish.
NVIDIA® Hardware Acceleration
Movavi Video Converter is optimized for NVIDIA® NVENC, ensuring faster video encoding on NVIDIA® graphics cards. Use of the NVIDIA® NVENC technology provides a significant – up to fourfold – performance gain, delivering high-speed HD and SD video conversion.
NVIDIA® technologies save time when converting any video to AVI, MP4, FLV, MKV, MOV, or MPEG-2 TS with H.264 codec. Now you can instantly see which conversion formats support the NVENC technology – significantly speeding up conversion – from the logos alongside those format presets.Supported Graphics Cards
Movavi Video Converter supports GeForce, GeForce Mobile, Quadro, Quadro Mobile, and Kepler graphics card series from NVIDIA.Supported Output Video Formats:
AVI, MP4, FLV, MKV, MOV, and all other video formats with H.264 codec.
NVIDIA® NVENC Advantage
NVENC is a newer technology from NVIDIA®. In NVENC, video encoding is performed on a special chip embedded in the video processor. NVENC boosts performance and reduces the load on the CPU during conversion. Plus, NVENC supports the simultaneous conversion of multiple media files.
In the chart below, you can see the performance gain from parallel processing two video files with NVENC acceleration when compared with sequential conversion of the same files with no acceleration.

Computer specifications: Intel® Core™ i7-2600K CPU – 3.40 GHz, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 750 graphics card.
NVIDIA® NVDEC Advantage
This technology from NVIDIA® makes it easier to work with large video files (in 4K and 8K). On PCs with up-to-date graphics cards and weak or loaded processors, videos are loaded into the program significantly faster, and delays during playback and editing are reduced. The use of the NVDEC technology also slightly speeds up conversion (up to 10%).
How to enable NVIDIA® acceleration
If you have an NVIDIA® GPU, you can take advantage of the hardware acceleration for all compatible video formats. NVIDIA® acceleration is enabled by default; if you wish, you can disable it in the Settings menu under Preferences.
AMD® Hardware Acceleration
Movavi Video Converter now supports AMD® hardware acceleration! The owners of systems with AMD/ATI Radeon graphics cards will now be able to decode large video files (in 2K and 4K) twice faster than when using a regular decoding method.Supported Graphics Cards
When using the H.264 codec, acceleration will work with graphics cards released after April 2014. When using H.265, it will work with graphics cards released after May 2015.
