If you take videos with your iPhone, it’s convenient to edit them directly on your device. And while you can trim or apply filters using the built-in editing tool, cropping videos on an iPhone might be a challenge. So, if you need to crop the edges of your video, you’ll need a different app.
In this guide, we’ll explain how to crop a video on an iPhone using Movavi Clips. Download the app to your iPhone 5/6/7/8/X or iPad and follow the instructions below.
Download and Launch Movavi Clips
Go to the App Store and download Movavi Clips. When the downloading process is complete, tap the icon on your Home screen to launch the app.
Upload Your Video
Tap the Plus icon at the bottom of the screen and choose Video.
Choose the desired aspect ratio from the pop-up menu and tap OK. In the new screen, select one or more videos from your Camera Roll and then hit the Start editing button.
Crop the Video
To change the video size, tap Aspect ratio on the toolbar over the Video track.
In the new screen, pinch to zoom in or out on the video. Then drag the video until you have the desired part of the image in the frame. When you’re satisfied with the result, tap Apply.
Save the Result
Tap the Save icon in the top right corner.
In the new screen, tap Save and wait for the video to be saved to your Camera Roll. If you want to post the video on social media directly from the app, tap Share.
