How to Blur a Part of an Image

When editing a photo, you sometimes need to accentuate certain parts and deemphasize the rest. One of the most effective ways to do this is to blur a part of an image. When you blur parts of a photo and leave the rest untouched, you draw the viewer’s attention to the part that’s still in focus.

Step 1. Install Picverse Photo Editor
The first step in learning how to blur something out of a photo is to download the installation file for Movavi Picverse and run it on your computer. Follow the instructions on the screen. The program will open automatically once the installation is complete.
Step 2. Add Your Image
Click the Browse for Images button and select the photo you want to edit. You can also simply drag and drop it into the working area.
Step 3. Blur a Part of Your Image
How to blur something in a picture? You first need to specify the part you want to apply the effect to. This is where the selection tools come in. Go to the Adjust tab, choose the Selection Brush from the Selection Tools section and specify the area you want to blur. You can also use the Lasso Tool to do the same thing. To deselect a part of the area, use the Selection Eraser.
Find the Blur slider in the Detail section. To blur the area you’ve selected, adjust the intensity of the effect by dragging on the slider.

Step 4. Save the Result
Click the Save icon to save the edited photo. Rename the file, if you want to; then choose the destination folder and the format for your picture. Click OK.
